Areva Teleperm XS control cabinet

Standard construction technology
For the installation of Teleperm XS systems, control cabinets of type SC 9422 (2200 x 900 x 400 mm deep), protection class IP30, are typically used. The cabinet is equipped with cable management facilities including a shield rail. It is designed to withstand seismic loads. Cable entry and power supply are generally from below. The subracks are mounted centrally in the standard cabinet. On the left and right sides there is space for installing terminal elements and transceivers. Terminal blocks are used for peripheral cable connections. Other connection types such as Maxi-Termi-Point are also possible. Field cables should be shielded with twisted pairs. Data buses are realized inside the cabinet with conventional cables and outside the cabinet via fiber optic cables. Teleperm XS is suitable for systems with surface as well as central grounding (central earthing point, ZEP).

Subracks
Depending on requirements, different subrack configurations can be used. The basic version features a continuous rear panel bus with 21 slots. If large amounts of signals need to be processed, expansion subracks can be added.

Also supported are variants such as:
- Split subracks with two smaller, independent processors (each with 10 slots, dedicated fans, and power supplies)
- Mixed configurations, e.g. integrating a processor with its associated signal conditioning modules
