Atlas Copco GA5 VSD+ FF oil-injected screw compressor with approx. 5 kW power, max. pressure of 12.75 bar and approx. 1.1 m³ compressed air per minute, including air dryer and separate 500-liter receiver tank (pressure vessel), manufacturer: OKS, both built in 2021, as well as a condensate pump.

The system was only used for approx. 3.5 years in a bakery for simple pneumatic applications and cleaning purposes, approx. 2,380 operating hours, of which 96% were in the 40–60% speed range. First commissioning: 08-2021 (regular operation until approx. 05-2024). Initial purchase price of the system without installation: approx. EUR 12,000 net.

This screw compressor is one of Atlas Copco’s most energy-efficient compressors and the first choice for low lifecycle costs. The VSD (Variable Speed Drive) technology automatically regulates the motor speed according to actual compressed air demand, enabling average energy savings of 35–60%, depending on the compressed air consumption profile, compared to fixed-speed compressors.
