We are able to offer you, from federal government inventory, this exceptionally well-maintained "Vitek 2 XL" system from the world-renowned brand BioMérieux, direct from first ownership.

As a fully automated system for the rapid identification of pathogens and resistance detection, the Vitek 2 system has become an essential fixture in medical laboratories worldwide!

The system was purchased by the federal government in November 2013 and has been consistently inspected and maintained under a maintenance contract—the last inspection and service was performed up to August 2023. In late 2022, the device was decommissioned in working order due to new procurement.

All components are in excellent optical and technical condition, with no significant damage—minor scratches and discolorations on the housing are due to standard operational use and do not affect functionality in any way.

Description:

The VITEK 2 system provides everything clinical laboratories require for rapid and accurate microbial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST).

The system is used for the microbiological identification of pathogens of animal origin. It enables swift and precise antibiotic susceptibility testing and the detection of resistances. This automated system can perform susceptibility testing on the same day (with results in as little as 5 hours, according to clinical studies), significantly streamlining workflow in veterinary laboratories and enhancing clinical veterinary microbiology.

The VITEK 2 system offers an extensive range of critical susceptibility testing assays for veterinary diagnostics and is distinguished by its high performance and its ability to detect even low-level resistance and emerging resistance mechanisms (AmpC, ESBL, MBL, etc.).
The software is updated annually to incorporate the latest taxonomic developments and changes in guidelines.
The VITEK 2 disposable cards are sealed to prevent contamination during the inoculation of bacterial suspensions.
