The pump is NOT suitable for:
Water, food industry, and non-corrosive media.
For these media, more economical materials such as 1.4408 or 1.4571 are better suited.

The pump is made from the special alloy Alloy 59!!
This alloy is used when conventional chromium-nickel steels are no longer sufficiently corrosion-resistant.
Particularly when chloride-induced pitting and crevice corrosion as well as stress corrosion cracking are a problem.

Alloy 59 is used for: environmental technology, chemical industry (chemical processes involving oxidising and reducing acids, resistance to moist chlorine gas), and waste incineration plants. Primarily, 2.4605 is used in the chemical industry, pulp and paper industry, and in flue-gas desulphurisation plants.

Excellent resistance to mineral acids such as nitric, phosphoric, sulphuric, and hydrochloric acid, and especially to mixtures of sulphuric/hydrochloric acid.
