CORMAK HBS320

CORMAK HBS320 – double mitre bandsaw with cutting angle adjustment from -45° to +60°. The machine’s design is based on solutions and projects developed by Polish engineers. Its precision and build quality set it apart at the forefront of bandsaws capable of cutting material up to 320 mm in width. One of the key features is a state-of-the-art hydraulic cylinder. The machine is equipped with a reinforced vice base and a rapid-clamping vice for quick operation.

Machine Features

The CORMAK HBS320 metal bandsaw enables angle cutting in a range from -45° to +60°. The material can be fed manually or via any feeding device. Feed during cutting is gravity-driven, regulated by the hydraulic cylinder’s oil flow. The operator starts the machine by pressing the start button and sets the cutting speed. After completing the cycle, the machine stops automatically, and the operator raises the arm to the initial position.

The saw arm is made from a very robust, solid grey cast iron casting. Combined with a 27 mm wide blade, this allows for efficient series cutting of structural, stainless, and tool steels. The vice is mounted in an adjustable bed and features a quick-clamping mechanism. The blade guides use rolling bearings and carbide inserts, ensuring top accuracy and cut straightness. This significantly improves blade tracking, blade life, cutting precision, and cut quality. Carbide guidance also substantially reduces wear on both the machine and the blade.

The base is constructed as a rigid, welded steel plate housing. Inside is a separate coolant tank with an electric pump. The upper section is shaped as a tray to drain coolant and collect chips produced during cutting. The cast iron worktable is attached to the base, with a swiveling arm on both sides and an operator control panel.

The feed rate is adjustable directly from the control panel. Two blade speeds are available: 44 and 88 m/min. In the lower arm position – once cutting is complete – the blade drive is automatically switched off. Safety is ensured by blade covers and micro-switches, which stop the motor after the cutting cycle or upon opening any protective covers. Additional protection comes from an automatic power-off function if the saw blade breaks.
