The Dr. Schenk SolarInspect series was developed to meet the specific requirements in the production of crystalline silicon solar modules.
These turnkey vision systems provide reliable quality control for the entire running production process.
Furthermore, continuous monitoring of the production process enables timely corrective measures in the event of process deviations.

In crystalline silicon solar module production, structured glass substrates are used instead of uncoated glass. Structured glass improves light transmittance. The optical signals in the vision system, which are triggered by the surface structure commonly used for glass substrates in silicon solar modules, are often similar to or even stronger than those of the actual inspected defect.

With SolarInspect, Dr. Schenk has developed and manufactured a system tailored for the precise distinction between glass structure and defects over the entire material surface, including the edges. Thanks to an innovative optical design, the Dr. Schenk inspection system can clearly detect glass defects and differentiate them from the glass structure.
