DBG - 3 in 1
The drill bit grinding machine from the DBG series is used for grinding twist drills made of HSS and carbide. The machine has integrated grinding stations for sharpening point angle, relief angle, and for cross-point thinning operations.

Special CBN or SDC diamond grinding wheels are used, depending on the drill material.
SDC-coated grinding wheels:
Metal-bonded synthetic diamond for sharpening carbide drills.
CBN-coated grinding wheels:
Deliver outstanding sharpening results at very high speeds and without tempering. The exceptional heat conductivity of CBN (boron nitride crystals) dissipates the frictional heat through the wheel, preventing the cutting edge from hardening and resulting in almost no spark formation. CBN has higher thermal stability than diamond and, due to its lower wear rate, is optimal for sharpening HSS tools.
