This module is designed to convert encoder signals supplied by a standard encoder. These signals can have voltage levels ranging from 5 to 24V DC. The conversion provides a potential-free output level of 5V DC with RS 422 characteristics.

Additionally, the pulse frequency of the output signals can be divided by ratios of 1/2/4/8/16/32/64 and 128, with the ability to invert the count direction. This setting is easily adjusted using a DIP switch. The division ratios apply only to the encoder’s count signals (K1 and K2); the encoder’s zero signal is always output undivided.
