We refurbish your existing Karstens and Bahmüller cylindrical grinding machine.

The overhaul for Bahmüller and Karstens cylindrical grinding machines includes the following:

1. Housing/Full enclosure
- New paintwork in RAL 7035, RAL 7011
- New 10 mm polycarbonate safety screen
- New bearings for workpiece change door

2. Grinding spindle headstock
- Complete cleaning and painting
- Inspect bearings, regrind if hydrodynamic, replace if necessary
- Check and clean lubrication system
- Overhaul of the grinding spindle
- New coolant hoses, valves, and aluminum coolant nozzles
- New belts installed

3. Tailstock
- Complete cleaning and painting
- Overhaul of quill
- Inspect bearings, regrind if hydrodynamic, replace if necessary
- Dismantle and clean the fine adjustment, replace defective parts if necessary

4. Workpiece spindle headstock

- Check and clean lubrication system
- Overhaul of workpiece spindle
- New belts installed

5. Hydraulics
- Complete cleaning and painting
- Bearing of hydraulic motor

- Complete renewal of hoses
- Filter replacement
- Hydraulic schematic

6. Pneumatics
- New maintenance unit
- New air lock for length measuring systems
- New pneumatic lines/connectors/distributors and small parts
- Pneumatic schematic

7. Spindle lubrication
- Complete cleaning and painting
- Bearing of lubrication motor
- Overhaul of pump, replace if necessary
- Check and clean lubrication system
- Inspect or replace lubrication monitoring system if required

8. Central lubrication system
- Complete cleaning and painting
- Bearing of lubrication motor
- Overhaul of pump, replace if necessary
- Check and clean lubrication system
- Inspect or replace lubrication monitoring system, if available

9. Machine bed
- Complete internal and external cleaning
- Grinding and new painting
- Rescrape and measure V and flat guideways
- Install new (rotatable) operator panel

10. X-, Z-axis
- New bearings on X-axis
- New ball screws
- New axial bearings
- Precision grinding, rescraping if required
- Overhaul of X-axis coarse adjustment

11. Geometry
- Complete geometric regrinding and adjustment on grinding spindle stock, workpiece spindle stock, tailstock, X- and Z-axis
- Creation of geometric protocol

12. Electrical system
- Construction of new Rittal control cabinet with Siemens components: contactors, motor protection switches, Finder relays, Siemens drives, NCU, supply, Siemens PLC, and optional devices (MPM, Jenoptik, etc.)
- Creation of new E-Plan 8 circuit diagram
- Completely new cabling with PUR cables
- New control units, switches, pushbuttons (Siemens, Eaton)

13. CNC Control
- Siemens SINUMERIK ONE control
- Siemens axis drives and frequency converters with CU
- Siemens asynchronous motor (grinding spindle)
- Siemens synchronous motors for X-, Z-, and workpiece spindle

14. Length measuring systems
- Absolute Heidenhain length measuring systems

15. Miscellaneous
- CE marking and documentation
- Risk assessment
- Siemens Safety with acceptance report
- New operating manual and supplier documentation in paper or digital form
- Noise protocol
- VDE certificate
