Grimm

The system is designed for the automatic inductive hardening of screws and bolts in sizes M8 and M10. The equipment was manufactured by Grimm Zuführtechnik. It is designed for a throughput of approximately 70–80 parts per minute (depending on the component) and is equipped with various monitoring options (temperatures, component heights, component types, rotation, etc.).

The parts are transported from a storage belt via a steep conveyor onto a linear sorter, from where they are individually transferred into an 8-position rotary indexing table, with two nests per station.

Included is a 50 kW high-frequency (HF) generator by IDEA, which provides additional monitoring functions (energy supply, earth fault monitoring, flow rate and water temperature of the inductor, etc.).

The system is equipped with its own tank for quenching water; the hardened parts are conveyed out of the tank by a magnetic discharge belt and then demagnetized. The filtration of the quenching medium is handled via a cartridge filter.

Both the system and the generator are configured for connection to a central cooling system. Due to the cooling system currently not being connected, the system is only partially operational, but can be inspected by interested buyers at any time.

The system was built in 2019 and, due to COVID and the resulting loss of orders, has unfortunately never been in continuous operation, so its condition is like new.
