The hydraulically controlled pusher feeds the wood waste to be shredded to the cutting area of the rotor and is automatically and load-dependently controlled. The high-performance E-rotor, made of solid steel, has a diameter of 252 mm and operates at a rotor speed of 85–95 rpm. The concave-ground, aggressive, and fourfold reversible knives / cutting crowns are located in milled knife pockets on special knife holders. This highly efficient system guarantees, by minimizing the cutting gap between counter-knife and rotor, high throughput performance, low energy consumption, and optimum discharge of the shredded material. Chip size (10–60 mm) depends on screen perforation.
