Roller glue application units for edge banding machines require regular maintenance, care, and cleaning. Collected chips, burned glue residue, and other foreign objects negatively affect a consistently thin adhesive application. This applies to the use of EVA hot-melt adhesives and especially for the use of PUR adhesives. When the glue pot is installed in the machine, poor accessibility limits the effectiveness of cleaning. If the unit is removed, which is quick and easy with most manufacturers, rapid cooling prevents thorough cleaning. In addition, a stable holder for the still-hot glue pot and a drive for the glue roller are often lacking.
With this easy-to-operate device, periodic cleaning and maintenance tasks can be easily performed by operating or maintenance personnel themselves.
