The Pyrtec boiler system is an underfeed combustion unit with an internal grate and burnout grate, designed for universal applications and suitable for a particularly wide range of fuels—from dry wood waste to wet forest wood chips. Max. water content w = 50% corresponds to wood moisture u 100%.

The complete boiler system is type-approved (approval no.: 02-221-512) with continuous quality control by TÜV and consists of:

FEED SCREW WITH FIRE BARRIER LAYER:
The feed screw delivers the fuel into the fire pit and grate area of the combustion block. The heavy-duty screw flights are made of heat-resistant chromium steel in the combustion pit area. The feed tube is equipped with mounts for the backburn thermostat and the thermal quenching valve. Above the screw is the dosing hopper with photoelectric sensor for the fuel barrier layer required by TRD 414. The drive uses a maintenance-free helical gear motor and chain drive with a dust-proof chain guard.
Accessory: Quenching valve with strainer.

COMBUSTION BLOCK:
Solid combustion block, multi-layer insulated with high-quality chamotte lining. The material feed and grate area consists of the combustion chamber, the degasification grate, and the sloped burnout grate. All these components are manufactured from high heat-resistant cast steel (W.-Nr. 1.4868), at least 12 mm thick, and are individually replaceable. This type of primary combustion has proven highly effective, even with challenging fuels (moist sawmill offcuts, high bark content, etc.). Ash and foreign objects passing through the grates can easily be removed from outside via covered openings. The horizontal combustion chamber is optimally shaped for complete burnout and also provides a large ash space. The combustion chamber door is solidly built, well insulated, and fitted with a heavy-duty double-hinged bracket allowing for ideal swing-out during maintenance.

BOILER:
Horizontal hot water boiler in three-pass design, mounted on the combustion block, insulated, and finished with an attractive casing. The insulated boiler front door is prepared for the installation of an oil or gas burner.

Operating pressure: 3.0 bar
Test pressure: 6.0 bar

FLUE GAS DUST SEPARATOR PYRTEC-140 to PYRTEC-650:
This unit is designed as an axial cyclone, fully insulated and mounted on the boiler. It features 2 insulated access covers, an ash container with quick-release closure, and a mounting flange for the flue gas fan.

FLUE GAS DUST SEPARATOR PYRTEC-1000:
This unit is also constructed as a fully insulated, stand-alone axial cyclone for optimal placement. Includes 2 insulated access covers, mounting flange for the flue gas fan, and connection for the ash container.

FLUE GAS FAN:
The fan is specially designed for wood combustion, operating very quietly. The motor is built in a heavy-duty, heat-resistant design and features a spring-mounted heat dissipation hub. The fan housing is continuously rotatable at the intake port, outlet nozzle is round.
