The Master delivers precision sanding. It embodies the essence of our 75 years of experience in sanding technology. This means it combines, straight from the factory—"out of the box"—all the features essential for fast, reliable production of perfect surfaces. No more, no less. The core model Kündig Master is equipped with a calibration roller and a sanding pad unit, and features the proven design that guarantees decades of high sanding precision—across a generous working width of 1350 mm. The onboard control unit ensures intuitive, efficient operation.

Sanding units – Proven combination
For the sanding units, the well-established combination of calibration roller and sanding pad is used. To ensure reliable workpiece guidance, a spring-loaded steel pressure roller is located at the machine infeed, and rubber pressure rollers are positioned between the sanding units.

Calibration unit (R): The calibration unit features a grooved rubber contact roller with proven hardness, making it ideal for calibration tasks, including jobs that require high stock removal. The contact roller level is infinitely adjustable to compensate for varying abrasive thicknesses.

Segmented sanding pad (E): With the E-Plus configuration, the fine sanding unit is equipped with a segmented, electronically controlled sanding pad (scanning width 35 mm), instead of the pneumatic version. This allows for even more precise edge sanding of workpieces. Edge pressure of the sanding segments is regulated automatically, but can also be finely adjusted via the touch screen for targeted edge sanding. Here too, the graphite glide pad can be changed quickly and easily.

Construction: The Master offers the same robustness and durability as our other model ranges. It features our heavy-duty frame construction, which makes all our machines long-term investments designed to deliver precise sanding results for many years.

Top section adjustment: For over thirty years, we have exclusively equipped our machines with top section adjustment. Why? Although top adjustment is more complex in design compared to table adjustment, it offers many advantages: the machine can handle higher workpiece weights, maintains its precision more reliably, and offers the benefit of a constant working height.

Workpiece dimensions: The top section, i.e., the infeed opening, is motor-adjustable and finely controllable via the touch screen. The maximum infeed height is 160 mm. With a working width of 1350 mm, the Kündig Master features a generous, industry-standard capacity proven in countless applications.
