The NC joining modules NCFH type 2151B... consist of a robust housing integrating an absolute position sensor and a piezoelectric tension/compression force sensor. The applied tension or compression forces generate a proportional electrical charge in the piezoelectric measuring element, which is converted to an analog voltage signal by the integrated charge amplifier.

The drive motor is an electronically commutated AC servo hollow-shaft motor controlled by a servo amplifier. Constant rotational speed, i.e., constant traverse speed, is ensured. Standard functions such as joining to stop, position-based and force-controlled joining, as well as positioning to intermediate positions, are supported.
