The XL CNC Economic—powerful, fast, and precise—Smart XL is a new model aimed at small and medium-sized sheet metal processing businesses. The ESA S 640 2D series CNC controls, standard on the press brakes, are capable of processing multi-step parts in a single pass using direct angle programming and bending step logic, with each step managed automatically by the CNC.

Programmable parameters for upper beam approach position, dwell time at bend point, opening speed after bending, as well as bending speed, enable even difficult bends to be performed effortlessly, while also increasing production speed.

Thanks to the capability to program 2D parts and tooling on a separate PC, programs for subsequent parts can be created while the machine is running. Bending sequences are selected automatically and transferred to the machine via USB or local network.
