Why do you need a 1,600-ton press brake?

The required bending force depends on:
- Material thickness
- Material strength
- Bending length
- Die opening

If any of these factors are large, the required tonnage increases dramatically.

A 1,600-ton press brake is used when:
- Thick plates are bent (20–60+ mm)
- High-strength materials are processed
- Very long parts are bent (6–10+ meters)
- Tight radii or deep bends are required

Forming heavy welded constructions such as:
- Bridge girders
- Box columns
- Large beams and stiffeners
- Base frames for industrial machinery

Shipbuilding, defense, and marine applications:
- Hull sections
- Deck plates
- Bulkheads
- Reinforcement ribs
