Cross-flow vacuum dryer with 31.68 m³ capacity

The chamber accommodates 1 package at a width of 1.20 m, 3 packages stacked to a height of 0.80 m each with 0.10 m supporting timbers, and a maximum timber length of 16.0 m plus 0.5 m clearance.

The chamber holds net approx. 19 m³ of edged timber with a wood thickness of 50 mm and a stacking stick thickness of 24 mm.

Technical specifications (see detailed performance description under Documents):
- Stainless steel cylinder with 80 mm thick, resin-bonded mineral wool insulation and a ventilated outer cladding of aluminum trapezoidal sheet.
- Vacuum door with special lock for easy front-end loading via walk-in carts.
- A vacuum water ring pump rated at 5.5 kW evacuates the dryer (to be replaced in April 2025).
- 12 fans rated at 1.5 kW each in delta configuration provide airflow through the stacks. Average power consumption in vacuum is only approx. 0.5 kW per fan.
- Hot water heat exchanger for max. 98 kW at 90°C supply temperature installed.
- Electrical connection: 47 amps at 3 x 400 V / 50 Hz
- Excess moisture is condensed using air-heat exchangers.
- The chamber climate can be humidified as required via a hot water-heated evaporator tray.
- Fully automatic drying process: Only wood type, thickness, and desired final moisture content need to be entered.
- MB4000 V control unit incl. operator panel
- 10 wood moisture measurement points plus climate and temperature sensors
- Loading rails must be newly ordered, as these are set in concrete.

The price is ex works, net payable before dismantling of the system. System dismantling/removal is the responsibility of the buyer and is not included in the price.
