The HYFRA Gamma series models are designed as immersion coolers for cooling water, oil, and emulsions. The plug-and-play immersion coolers are installable and can be used on just 0.5 m² of floor space, making them ideal for integration into various machine layouts.

Cooling capacities of up to 28 kW are possible thanks to the compact design on just 0.5 m² footprint. This results in significant flexibility advantages during production floor layout planning and a considerable productivity boost, as more production machines can fit into the available space. In the compact models of our immersion coolers, the condenser is installed horizontally. This design significantly reduces waste heat. Internal components remain unaffected by waste heat.

A robust stirrer ensures uniform media temperature in the lubricant tank for all series models. For periodic maintenance, the HYFRA Gamma series can easily be lifted from the tank using fixed crane eyes.

How does an immersion cooler work?

With immersion coolers, the evaporator of the chiller is immersed directly in the cooling medium. The liquid is stored in a tank and is continuously and vigorously agitated for efficient cooling. Powerful stirrers support this process.

What applications are immersion coolers suitable for?

Immersion coolers are commonly used for temperature control of coolants in filtration and mechanical engineering to ensure optimal performance of the equipment in use. They are also used in metalworking for indirect cooling of tools and workpieces. Classic applications include milling and grinding with CNC machines or conventional machine tools.

Immersion coolers with advanced controls and extensive features

Depending on the cooling capacity, HYFRA Gamma model immersion coolers are equipped with either the FreeSmart or FreeAdvanced control systems. The combination of FreeAdvanced control and a touch panel provides a clear overview and easy reading of all relevant parameters. Both freely programmable controls are equipped with several digital and analog inputs and outputs. The FreeAdvanced control also features a full-text display and supports Modbus TCP.
