Recycling plant for plastic windows with granulate output (12 mm / 40 mm)

The recycling plant is designed as a modular processing line for the treatment of dismantled plastic windows. The aim of the system is the efficient shredding, separation and classification of material into reusable plastic granulate of defined grain sizes (approx. 12 mm or 40 mm).

The plant is comprised of the following main components:

1. Feeding and input system
The input material (plastic windows including attachments such as gaskets, metal fittings, and contaminants) is manually loaded in the designated feeding area.

2. Pre-shredding (Shredder)
A powerful four-shaft shredder performs the coarse size reduction of the window frames. The goal is to reduce bulky parts to a manageable size and prepare them for subsequent process steps.

3. Conveyor technology
Multiple conveyor belts link the individual process stages. They ensure a consistent material flow and optionally allow for manual visual inspection or re-sorting.

4. Metal separation
To remove metallic components (e.g., steel reinforcements, screws, fittings), a magnetic separator is installed. This is implemented as an overbelt magnet, reliably extracting ferrous metals from the material stream.

5. Screening unit (classification)
The shredded material is passed through a screening unit that separates particles by size. Depending on the screen deck used, defined fractions are produced, e.g.:

Approx. 12 mm granulate (fine)

6. Cleaning / contaminant removal
Light impurities (dust, gasket remnants, foreign matter) are removed using mechanical or pneumatic separation methods. This enhances the quality of the final granulate.

7. Discharge and storage
The finished granulate is discharged via conveyor belts and filled into big bags.
