10-foot container sauna

Mobile outdoor sauna based on a 10-foot shipping container (external dimensions approx. 3.0 m length × 2.44 m width × 2.59 m height), converted into a fully equipped sauna with glass front, multi-level benches and technical installations. The design retains the robust steel structure of the container as a weather-resistant external frame, complemented by high-quality timber interior fittings, insulation, and glazed elements for optimal outdoor use. It is stackable, transportable, and designed for installation on flat surfaces without the need for a foundation.

Basic construction and exterior

* Container made of powder-coated steel (anthracite grey) with ISO corner castings and reinforced profiles for stability and weather resistance.
* Fully open longitudinal side featuring a three-part glass front made of clear safety glass (sliding doors with stainless steel handles and floor seal) for panoramic views and natural light.
* External installations: cold water pillar with tap and ball valve, optional shower with showerhead, ventilation opening with grille at the container base.

Interior and sauna layout

Walls, ceiling, and floors fully clad with thermally treated wood (e.g., spruce or aspen, light natural finish) in 14-20 mm thickness; three-tier seating benches with backrests and footrest rail.
* Step configuration: Bottom bench approx. 40 cm high, middle approx. 90 cm, top approx. 140 cm, ventilated slat construction for air circulation and comfort.
* Floor with sealed wooden decking and drain, small headrest, and integrated stone section at the stove.

Technology and equipment

Electric sauna stove (approx. 6-9 kW) with stone basket (approx. 20 kg olivine rods), wall-mounted control panel, and automatic overheating protection.
* Ventilation: intake and exhaust valves with sliders (inside and outside), flue outlet and grilling grid at ceiling/wall, LED lighting indirectly positioned behind benches.
* Electrical installation: Shielded wiring with switches for stove and lighting, integrated thermometer and hygrometer.

Installation and mobility

Installation on container feet directly on gravel/concrete, total weight approx. 1,200-1,800 kg, ventilated and drained.
* Transport by forklift or crane possible, weatherproof seals on all openings.
