Fully automatic operation with minimized idle times through freely programmable SIEMENS program control S5 for all machining steps, such as rapid traverse, feed rate, cutter on/off, for the loading system, tailstock, possible shifting, etc., as well as with part counter, program numbering, and 30-level numerical error display.

Pneumatic workpiece loading and unloading device, parallel to the workpiece axis, suitable for shaft-type workpieces approx. 140 mm long x 8 mm diameter, with pneumatic double gripper for loading and unloading workpieces; raw parts are placed externally in change cassettes and inserted into the loading device.

The double gripper inserts parts between workpiece spindle and tailstock; the tailstock quill pushes parts into the main spindle collet and clamps them simultaneously. Finished parts are ejected from the main spindle and, via the gripper, placed back into the (finished parts) cassette. The complete process is electrically monitored and controlled. The entire loading device is encased in Plexiglas.
