About the machine:

For sale is a used Mikron WF 3S universal milling machine. It is equipped with a Heidenhain TNC 114 path control. This means it can be programmed to travel a specified distance on any axis (X, Y, or Z) and will stop automatically once the programmed value is reached. Up to four different zero points can be set. Dimension input can be either absolute or incremental (chain dimensioning). The feed is steplessly adjustable from 0-750 mm/min, even during milling operations. Rapid traverse can be activated at the push of a button. Spindle speed is stepped from 50 rpm up to 2240 rpm and can only be set when the spindle is at a standstill. The vertical milling head is mounted with three screws and can be removed or reattached in just two minutes. It is fastened manually using the articulated arm visible on the left side of the machine and easily swung aside. A special feature of this machine is its large travel range relative to its size: Z = 380 mm, X = 500 mm, and Y = 500 mm. Additionally, the machine features electronic protection for the vertical spindle. Both mechanical and electrical functions have been tested. You are welcome to view and test the machine under power at our premises.
