Support Structure
The supporting frame consists of an exceptionally robust, monolithic steel base, heavily ribbed and extremely rigid. The extra-wide mounting surface has been specifically designed to provide the machine with stability, guaranteeing consistent precision regardless of working conditions. No floor anchoring is required. The base forms a large and solid foundation for the moving gantry, ensuring the work unit has a balanced, stable, and resilient support that withstands maximum stress, resulting in higher production quality and greater accuracy.

The moving gantry is made from a solid single piece anchored to the base, running on high-quality prism guides with ball-bearing carriages. The work unit is attached to it and moves along the Y and Z axes on similar prism guides.

Movement of the lower mobile unit (X axis) and the work unit along the moving beam (Y axis) is achieved by a helical rack and pinion drive. This delivers increased gear engagement for greater acceleration and higher speeds along the X and Y axes. The specially designed helical gearing ensures lower wear of mechanical components and quieter operation.

The vertical Z axis is driven by a ball screw, maintaining perfect balance under dynamic load and supporting rapid acceleration and deceleration. The main milling unit is directly coupled to the Z-axis carriage, ensuring high-quality finishing by minimizing potential vibrations.

Movements along the X-Y-Z axes are executed with brushless motors powered by static inverters, offering:
- Reduced processing times due to increased acceleration
- Improved positioning accuracy from high-resolution encoders
- Zeroing of setup processes at machine start thanks to absolute encoders
- Elimination of general maintenance for the drive system, as brushless motors have no brushes

Axis movement control and the operation of all machine components is managed by an industrial NS module with digital data transmission.
