ME-LINE – Air-cooled dehumidifiers are used for air drying at up to 100% relative humidity (RH) at temperatures of +45 ºC and above.
EU-LINE – Air-cooled dehumidifiers are used for air drying at up to 100% relative humidity (RH) at temperatures ranging from -30 ºC to +40 ºC.
Rust is the adversary of freshly blasted steel; high humidity combined with low steel temperatures creates ideal conditions for moisture condensation on the freshly blasted surface.
Condensation rust is a leading cause of premature coating failure. By reducing relative humidity, Proton dehumidifiers are designed to create optimal climatic conditions for blasting operations.
Climatic conditions worldwide vary greatly—from cool and humid in Western Europe and warm and humid in the Far East, to hot and humid in the Middle East. Various technologies can be used in the dehumidification process; some dehumidification technologies are more effective for certain climatic conditions than others.
Every Proton dehumidifier is manufactured to the highest quality standards and comes with regional certification.
At the core of the dehumidifier is a highly efficient and robust metal silicate rotor. The rotor features numerous air channels running parallel to the shaft, ensuring a large internal surface area for water vapor adsorption. The rotor is not affected by oversaturation and can, therefore, withstand long-term storage in high-humidity environments without losing capacity.
PROTON dehumidifiers have been specifically developed for corrosion protection in conjunction with sandblasting and painting, ensuring material preservation and preventing moisture-related issues.
They meet the following criteria:
• Available in sizes from 1,000 m³/h to 18,000 m³/h dry air.
• Available in pre-cooled and post-cooled versions for warm climates.
• Heavy-duty construction with steel frame, lifting eyes, etc.
• Key components are easily accessible for maintenance and replacement.
• Large air inlet grilles and filters.
• Can be installed in containers for protection.
• Adjustable dehumidification capacity and air discharge temperature in 4 stages.
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
• Dry air pressure up to 1200 Pa.
