WHO PROVIDES FUNDING?
The Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) supports capital investments aimed at optimizing energy use in plants and processes.

WHAT IS FUNDED?
Investments that demonstrably save energy and consequently reduce CO2 emissions are eligible for funding. For example, if you want to replace step-regulated welding systems with high energy consumption using efficient REHM welding technology, you can apply for Module 4 support. Costs for preparing the energy-saving concept and external project management by an energy consultant are also eligible. The overall payback period for the measure must exceed two years.

HOW MUCH FUNDING IS AVAILABLE?
Up to:
- 40% of eligible costs
- €900 per t CO2
- €10 million
BAFA funds large enterprises with up to 30% (max. €500 per saved ton CO2) and small to medium-sized enterprises with up to 40% (max. €900 per saved ton CO2) of the eligible costs. The maximum funding per investment project is €10 million.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Private and municipal enterprises with a registered office or branch in Germany can apply. The planned measures must be implemented within the Federal Republic of Germany. The required energy-saving concept must be prepared by a BAFA-accredited energy consultant.

HOW TO APPLY FOR FUNDING?
01. Inventory: Create a list of all equipment to be replaced and all new equipment to be purchased.
02. Assessment: We record the necessary data at your location and estimate your possible funding amount. At the same time, we prepare a quote for the new welding systems.
03. Energy Consultant: We compile all data for you and forward it to one of our partner energy consultants, saving you time and costs.
04. Application: After review, the energy consultant submits the grant application on your behalf.
05. Processing Time: If urgent, we can expedite the application process, reducing processing time to approximately 10–15 days.
