The use of a photocell in the workpiece area allows you to measure its length and, consequently, enables the activation of the spray guns when the part enters their range, and immediate deactivation after the part is painted. The photocell is included as standard.

Workpiece identification with special tags.
There are plates with identification holes on the workpiece's sling.
Based on this, the PLC controller, together with the photocell, recognizes the painted part, enabling the spray guns at the correct moment and switching them off accordingly, saving both energy and powder coating.

Vertical detection of the part's shape.
By using light barriers with horizontal detectors, the PLC controller can analyze the vertical shape of the part.
The PLC controller also calculates the precise timing for the part's presence within the gun’s zone; this allows for selective gun activation or deactivation.

Use of light barriers with multiple sensors both horizontally and vertically.
This solution enables precise measurement of the part's dimensions, thereby allowing also for manipulator control.

The benefits of using photocells or light barriers are mainly powder and energy savings, as the system eliminates spraying when there is no part present in the zone.

With the use of light barriers, precise gun control is achieved.
