2.1 Intended Use
The RFID read/write device RFU630-041xx is an intelligent 4Dpro sensor from the RFU6xx (UHF) product family. Version (operating range): Long Range. The stationary device automatically identifies radio-based data carriers (transponders) on moving or stationary objects. In addition, the device supports the management of data carriers.

The compact read/write device processes, with up to 4 external antennas, the data of all common passive transponders according to ISO/IEC 18000-6C and EPCglobal UHF Class 1 Gen 2 (UHFC1G2) within the region-specific UHF carrier frequency range. The device does not contain an integrated (internal) antenna.

Intelligent process logic enables operation either as a stand-alone solution or grouped in network mode. The read results are transmitted via its host interface to an upstream computer. The computer coordinates further data processing within the process. Via its host interface, the device receives corresponding commands for data carrier management (writing, reading, etc.).
