The STEINER hydraulic press was designed and manufactured with practical considerations in mind. The hydraulic unit is mounted on the hydraulic tank behind the press. The control blocks and valves are easily accessible from the outside and can be replaced quickly if necessary. The hydraulic radial piston pump is located on the drive console and is connected via a coupling to the motor and pump mount. The press frame is indestructible and torsion-resistant, made from a robust steel-welded construction. The bolster table is bolted to the frame. The hydraulic cylinders are bolted from above to the press frame and are guided in the correct direction via the mounting holes. The piston is connected to the piston rods by means of a slotted ring. Four-sided, diagonal, flat grooves on the frame enable extremely precise movement.

The hydraulic cylinders are made from high-quality materials and engineered for high pressure. The piston rods are ground and hard-chromed. The cylinder tubes are honed internally. The long-service-life seals, proven over many years, guarantee high standards of quality and leak-tightness. The piston rods are guided via wear-resistant guide bands, characterized by minimal abrasion and a long lifespan. The control system houses the controls, regulators, and monitoring devices for all actuators. Interlocking devices ensure that two program sequences cannot run simultaneously. The electrical control system is contained in a closed control cabinet.
