The temperature shock test examines the resistance of components, devices, and other products to rapid ambient temperature changes. Test specimens undergo quick temperature changes in air, with alternating high and low temperature loads.

These cyclical loads and accelerated aging caused by temperature swings can reveal weaknesses in the test item.
