ZERMA GSH

The ZERMA GSH series granulators are exceptionally robust machines designed for the toughest applications and tailored to meet the diverse requirements of modern recycling operations.

The heavy-duty steel welded housings can withstand even extraordinary loads. The bearings, knife mounts, and rotor shafts are generously oversized, ensuring maximum durability. With simple reconfiguration, both solid lumps and thick-walled pipes, as well as hollow bodies and films, can be effortlessly shredded.

Depending on specific requirements (including for temperature-sensitive materials), various rotor designs are available, all featuring the advanced and superior V-cut technology.

All machines in the GSH series consistently deliver high-quality regrind, whether from bottle crates, profiles, sheets, films, start-up lumps, or pipes. They are cost-effective, highly reliable, easy to clean, and have a long service life.

Combined with the extensive range of ZERMA options, accessories (such as extraction systems, conveyors, metal detectors, fines separators, roll-feed systems, etc.), and spare parts, a customized shredding system can be configured. The advantages are clear: significantly reduced costs, time, and staffing requirements.

Sophisticated housing design
The housing is diagonally split in the middle, and the upper section with the feed hopper can be hydraulically opened, providing full access to the rotor for knife changes and cleaning. The screen insert is also housed in a hydraulically pivoting basket, ensuring optimal accessibility for screen removal and installation. The screen insert is reversible.

Robust external bearings
Another well-engineered feature is the external bearing arrangement. Heavy-duty roller bearings in steel bearing housings guarantee long service life and are ideal for the most demanding applications. The external bearing design prevents grease from entering the grinding chamber and, vice versa, prevents ground material or fines from contaminating the bearings—an essential advantage, especially in wet grinding operations.

Flywheel
To compensate for peak loads during shredding, an optional flywheel is available. The rotors are equipped as standard with a second shaft end to accommodate this.

High operational safety
All granulators comply with EU Machinery Directives and are CE certified. Operational safety is ensured, for example, by run-down protection with limit switches as well as hydraulically released check valves.
