WP ZSK 83 Extruder

The machine comes with 2 control cabinets (one for control/heating and one for the converter of the ABB DC motor), an operator panel, a motor fan, and volumetric Accurate dosing. Included with the machine are a total of 3 equipped screw shaft pairs (not included in the price).

The machine does not have a continuous base frame; i.e., the gearbox and the process section share a common base frame, which is supported and anchored to the floor with steel supports. The motor is mounted separately on a steel platform and is connected to the Lenze input gearbox via V-belts.

The machine itself dates from 1979. The control cabinets, ABB converter, and drive motor were replaced after 1996, and are currently showing approximately 56,000 operating hours. The Lenze input gearbox was renewed in 2011, and the bearings in the dual gearbox were also replaced in 2011. Certain process section housings in the melting zone were last replaced in 2011.
