Fill 3D-ULTRASONIC CUTTER

The Fill 3D Ultrasonic Cutter enables three-dimensional contour trimming of fiber-reinforced plastics using ultrasonically actuated cutting systems.

Principle:
The linear-axis gantry enables precise guidance of the ultrasonic knife with minimal space requirements and simple kinematics. The Fill ultrasonic trimming fixture can be programmed like a machine tool via the Siemens CNC control 840D. Tool corrections or path adjustments can be made directly at the machine. As standard, the machine is equipped with a 20 kHz ultrasonic cutting unit, but it can also be fitted with alternative systems. The knife is equipped with a separate rotary axis to cut tight radii and reduce other axis movements (5 + 1 axes).
