The AM General is in really good condition, directly from the Army—well maintained and cared for, the bodywork is in excellent condition (vehicle from reserve stock). The M109A4 is equipped with: Central tire inflation system (allows for tire pressure adjustment while driving—ideal for soft ground, sand, mud, etc.), all-wheel drive, 6-cylinder Caterpillar turbo diesel engine with 6,598 cm³ displacement (unit injector system without electronics), 5-speed automatic transmission, transfer case with high/low range, power steering, air-assisted brakes, seating for 3 in the front. The cab has a soft top and can be driven open. The box body internal dimensions are L/W/H 3660/2290/1950 mm, ventilation, electrical installation with sockets, interior lighting, rear locker door, and 3 windows per side. Mileage is indicated in miles; there are several M109s in stock with mileages ranging from 79 to 2,155 miles, model years 1989–1993. License class 2 (truck); possibly can be downrated to 7.49t with some modifications. Tire size 14.5R20 (very good condition), tubeless. Maximum speed 90 km/h. 24V electrical system. The M109A4 is not only delivered with new TÜV but is also reliably operational :-) It is also eligible for affordable classic vehicle insurance.
