The low-speed granulators of the GSL series are mainly used in injection molding and blow molding applications for inline size reduction of sprues and defective parts. Various hopper and extraction systems make it possible to integrate these machines flexibly into existing installations.

The low-speed granulators of the GSL 180 series feature an enclosed rotor with a diameter of 180 mm. These machines are available with working widths from 120 mm to 430 mm.

The rotor consists of individual disks, directly connected to the spur gear via an oversized drive shaft, enabling efficient and low-maintenance power transmission.
Material to be granulated can be fed in manually, via conveyor belt, or by robot through a generously dimensioned, soundproofed hopper in sandwich construction. As standard, the granulator is mounted on a low-height base frame with swivel castors. Discharge occurs via a suction tray positioned underneath the screen, equipped with a pipe connection for a suction conveyor.

Applications

The low-speed granulators of the GSL 180 series were specifically developed for size reduction of sprues from injection molding and blow molding processes. Thanks to easy accessibility, color and material changes can be carried out quickly. The low rotor speed also enables processing of both soft and hard materials and ensures high material quality with minimal dust generation.
