Water degassing (de-aeration) unit for the removal of oxygen from drinking water, predominantly built in 1995. The system operates using a two-stage cold degassing process by CO2 stripping in counterflow and consists of the following components:

- 2 serially connected degassing vessels
- Vacuum pump with separator
- 70 hl pressure tank (Gross, 2018) for storing degassed water at up to 4 bar overpressure
- Centrifugal pumps
- CO2 dosing via needle valve
- Pipe panel, various pipelines, valves, fittings, instrumentation, and control technology
- Control cabinet with Simatic S5 controller
