The Pall CFS system is designed as a standalone unit and can be installed directly upstream of the bottling line without the need for a buffer tank. It is a fully independent process unit comprising the following components: filter vessel, piping and connections, membrane cleaning system (CIP), integrity testing unit, and control panel. Hygienic design, simple integrity testing, and full automation ensure the system’s microbiological safety and allow operation typically by bottling personnel.

In cluster filtration, filter elements are grouped into clusters, with each cluster equipped with its own discharge valve. All clusters are open during filtration. Cleaning, sterilization, and integrity testing are performed by cluster.
