Reitruder RZE 85 EXTRUSION: Among other new developments, the co-rotating twin-screw extruder Reitruder RZE 85 was the focal point of Reifenhäuser’s presentation at NPE. A differentiated concept with new design elements was developed. The screw geometry was adapted to new requirements, with a deeper channel depth and a newly designed feed zone. These changes alone improve feed when processing PET flakes or regrind and increase the volume for dosing fillers. This leads to significant advantages when processing lower-quality raw materials. Additionally, improved degassing efficiency even allows the use of material with a moisture content of up to 0.5 percent, minimizing pre-drying measures.
