Load measurement system with force transducer suitable for tension and compression tests. Electronic control unit that manages all functions: Regulation and control, monitoring and acquisition of output signals from the force, strain, and crosshead displacement amplifiers. The system is based on a 32-bit processor clocked at 25 MHz; analog signal acquisition is carried out by an A/D converter with 20-bit resolution. The electronic controller is usually placed in the machine base. This also applies to most electrical components for drive and power supply. User interface with PC, connected to the electronic control and monitoring board via a serial RS232 interface with high data transfer rate of 38,400 baud.
